Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. Her articles from Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter.
